Southern Tier Trans USA
April - May 2022 
 

A cycle tour from Florida to California across the southern States, Texas and the deserts of Arizona, New Mexico and California......

I am an experienced cycle tourist and have done a number of long distance trips in the USA and Europe.  This trip in late Spring / early Summer of 2022 is one that I have been waiting a couple of years to do, delayed because of Covid restrictions. However, I am now hoping that I will be able to do this Southern Tier Trans USA trip from East to West across Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California in the late Spring and early Summer, beginning at Jacksonville / Saint Augustine FL to San Diego / Los Angeles CA.  The trip needs to be done early or late in the season, on account of the impossibly hot conditions that can be encountered in the desert States in the summer.  So, I will begin at the start of April in Florida and hope to be through the deserts and at the Pacific coast by mid-May 2022.  Well, that's the plan, plane tickets have been purchased, and I'm looking forward to it going ahead.
