First part of a week away, first a couple of days
in Rome. Took the Bike Friday all cased up on the
plane and used it in Rome to great effect. Very
good. Weather was good, food as always good, wine
nice, and pleasant stay at St. Pat's with Declan et
al. I was there for St. Patrick's Day and had the
celebratory lunch, and ran in to a number of people
that I'd have known 30 years ago. Nice to see them.
Lolly della Vedova, for example, Irish woman
married to an Italian lawyer, now evidently in her
seventies. Benignus was there with his sister. All
of us are getting older.
