Post Easter and another foray to Liz and Steve's
house in Portugal. This time a little more
successfully that during my R & R from Basrah
in summer 2007. It is a very nice house, well
appointed etc., just our kind of thing. We ventured
out sparingly spending most of the week around the
house and the pool, sunning, reading, drinking,
cooking and doing lots of sleeping. The weather was
great and it being spring the place was ablaze with
colourful vegetation. The local roads were being
dug up while we were there to put in central
sewerage and gas so it was a bit difficult - well
impossible - to get the car up to the house, but no
bother really. We had a few meals out, but mostly
ate in and shopped at the Faro equivalent of
Waitrose. Including getting David to eat some real
fish looking fish (see coverflow). It was a good
and relaxing week.
