group from the Joint Logistics Wing at Aldergrove
went south of the border for a battlefield tour of
the Battle of the Boyne and the 1916 Risings.
Separated by some centuries in time, but both part
of the same ongoing Irish dynamic that keeps us
here even to this day ! We were led by Pat, OC
Movements, and accompanied by Fitz , OC Joint Logs
Wing, with various officers from the Wing. I had
heard they were going and managed to persuade Pat
to take me with them (not that it took a lot of
persuading). And, after the battlefield aspects of
the tour, there was a tour of Temple Bar !
